1. Start the night before

When every minute counts, you'll want to free up as much time as possible for your morning to ensure a stress-free start. Don’t skip this step! Get organised before bed by selecting your clothes, setting out anything you can and doing a quick tidy-up to guarantee you wake up to a clutter-free space. Get in the habit of planning the day ahead with a brief to-do list and when possible, go to bed early.

2. Rise early

This one is pretty obvious. Waking up earlier than usual can provide that serene start you are looking for. Whether it’s enjoying the calm before your kids wake or just giving yourself a head start. When approached with intention, this time can become the most peaceful and productive part of your day.

3. Have a plan

Take a moment to reflect on what morning activities would truly enrich your day. Perhaps it’s meditating, writing, gentle movement or simply enjoying your coffee in silence. Resist the pull of passive screen time and choose to spend your precious morning moments doing something uplifting. There is no right or wrong here - it’s definitely not a race to cram in as much as possible.

A morning routine doesn’t have to be elaborate to be effective and it surely doesn’t need to be picture perfect. It’s the small things and genuine intentions that create the most significant change. And remember, practices like mindfulness and gratitude don’t require a set time or specific rituals, they are possible to incorporate into any moment of your day.
